Editor’s Note: Ryan Thompson, a former member of Tabernacle and student at the Seminary, is now serving in Puerto Rico. Here is an update on his ministry. Please continue to pray for Ryan and others who take the Gospel to regions beyond.
God continues to be faithful as He has promised. Currently I am serving along with Pastor Johnny Daniels in Puerto Rico. It has been a great expereience thus far. I serve as a teacher in both the academy as well as in the Bible College. I have never concerntrated my studies in the area of Education and so it is such an opportunity to be able to work in the academy. I never thought that I would be doing buletin boards, correcting papers, entering grades, meeting with parents and all those things that teachers do. I am also honored to be able to teach Hebrew in the Bible college and much thanks be to God for using Tabernacle to make this transition very smooth.
My time in Puerto is soon over and presently I am praying about what is next as the door has opened for me to possibly soon lead in a BIble college on the mission field. I am still in my youth and I am humbled when people recognize me as “Doctor Thompson.” I almost don’t recognize my self. Beyond academics it is my desire to be a simple, humble servant of the Lord. May God bless all my family at Tabernacle and I leave you all with my life verses from 1Corinthians 15:57-58 “…my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of The Lord…your labour is not in vain in the Lord…”
