Mark 8:18 “ Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?”
Sometimes our physical faculties get the best of us. We need to see a physician to correct these problems. If we do not correct the problem, then we could lose the ability to use the faculty. Our vision may not be 20/20. Or we may have a stigmatism, a retinal detachment, or some other ocular problem. Our ears may be plugged; we may be suffering hearing loss, or deafness. We may be experiencing dizziness, a ‘senior’ moment, or suffering from Alzheimer’s. Whatever our physical difficulties, we need a physician.
When we have spiritual difficulties, we need the Great Physician. He knows our every need, and He knows how to correct the need. “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Mat 11:28-30.
Sometimes we try to solve problems in our own strength, with our own wisdom. We fail to trust the Lord. (Proverbs 3:5, 6) “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
