New Life in Christ!

Oak TreeJohn 10:9-11

Celebrated agnostic attorney Clarence Darrow remarked near the end of his life: “All of my life can be summed up in the words of Luke 5:5: …we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing.”  Jesus said: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.  A Chicago sewer worker said the exact same thing Mr. Darrow said only he put it more colloquially: “I dig the ditch to get the money to buy the food to get the strength to dig the ditch.”  Jesus said: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.    Lord Beaconsfield sadly said: “Youth is a blunder; manhood a struggle; old age, a regret.”  Jesus said: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

It’s just like what our children sing: “I’ve got peace like a river… joy like a fountain… love like an ocean in my soul.”  Romans 15:13
