The Word of God should be the basis for all of life. God has determined the bounds of the habitation of man. God states that we should seek Him and pattern our lives after His Plan. “For in him we live, and move, and have our being. . .” (Acts 17:28)
God has given us all we need with reference to the basic questions each of us must face concerning knowing from where we came, why we are here, and where we are going. God has set forth His plan of salvation, given us limits within which we should live, and which are for our good. God has mapped out plans for each of our lives, and we will do well to pattern our lives after the principles He has given.
Why so much emphasis on the Word of God? It is the basis for life. All we need to know concerning our existence and purpose and how to live in the time He has given is relayed to us in the Bible.
When Adam and Eve sinned, the image of God was marred in them. God provided His means for this image to be restored in the Person and Work of Christ. In order for that to take place, man must submit to God and His Plan for life.
When the Bible is studied carefully with the purpose of following what God has given, we can find a Biblical Truth with a principle that can guard each area of our lives so that we can live to bring glory to Him. (I Corinthians 10:31; Colossians 1:18)
