Summer is an exciting time of year! School is over, tests are taken, homework takes a recess, early mornings are not necessary, late evenings are permitted, family is visited, trips are taken, friends come for a visit, camp is attended, Vacation Bible School takes place, missions trips are enjoyed, and a general slower pace kicks in! Who could want for more?
Jeremiah 8:20 says, “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.” Let’s not get caught up in the glory of the summer and forget that there is still work to be done! There are people who need to be visited. There are flyers that need to be passed out. There are people who need to be told the gospel story. There is preparation that needs to be made for the fall. There are people who need a tract. There is always something to do – we need to be people conscious – notice those around you and take advantage of a situation to get the gospel out!
May your summer be filled with a lot of fun and a lot of victories for the Lord!
