It is that time of year to celebrate the birth of our Lord. What a special time we enjoy—the decorations, the programs, the parties, the gifts, the baking, the shopping, the caroling, the visiting . . . and much more. However, “It’s important that we rivet into our heads exactly what we’re celebrating. It is our Savior’s arrival, not Santa’s” (Come Before Winter, p. 213).
Galatians 4:4-5 reminds us, “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.”
