Blessed Be the Fountain

untitled

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he is become my salvation (Isaiah 12:2).

Blessed be the fountain of blood,

To a world of sinners revealed;

Blessed be the dear Son of God;

Only by His stripes we are healed.

Tho’ I’ve wandered far from the fold,

Bringing to my heart pain and woe,

Wash me in the blood of the Lamb,

And I shall be whiter than snow.

Whiter than snow, Whiter than snow,

Wash me in the blood of the Lamb,

And I shall be whiter than snow.

From Blessed Be The Fountain by Eden R. Larra, 1881.
